I’m really doing this—October 7, 2012
On February 1, registration for the Chicago Marathon opened at noon..and at exactly noon on February 1, I went online and coughed up $150 to reserve my spot.
This is coming from the girl who has been known to say the following on several occasions (and not very long ago, I might add):
“I will never run a marathon.”
“I have no desire to ever run a marathon.”
“I’m convinced that running the marathon is unhealthy.”
“Why would anyone ever want to run a marathon?”
And so on, and so forth.
Yet, here I am, registered for the marathon with every intention of running it to completion. And here I am, basking in the glow of my first Nike+ Run Club 3 mile run. I am just a walking contradiction. :)
