New leaves

A few months ago I started my second year of residency.  This means I got to leave the scut work of intern year behind and embark on a new level of responsibility—team leadership. With that heightened level of accountability came an entirely fresh outlook on life. This outlook led to a shift in priorities which in turn led to a purging of anything that didn’t fall under the scope of those priorities.

Facebook page: Deactivated. Twitter account: deleted. My entire condo was reorganized and simplified after removing piles and bags of “stuff” I had accumulated over the years.

I got swept up into the life of work such that work became my life. My entire summer (almost) passed me by in the blink of an eye and I feel like a completely different person than I was before it started. I needed that for so many reasons. I accomplished so much both personally and professionally, and so today I am exactly where I want to be. So now I’m ready to go back a bit, and re-inject the less serious side of my personality back into the mix. Stay tuned.
